SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is the art or skill of tweaking the pages on a website so that it can be properly read and more importantly indexed by the leading search engines, such as Google and Yahoo. These search engines send out spiders or robots to scan your website. . The role of a Search Engine Optimizer is to present the correct information that is relevant to your website to these search engines who will determine the value of your site and page rank it accordingly. This process does take time. The use of relevant keywords, phrases, page titles and image tags will play an important rule to the overall success.
Basic SEO When we build new sites, we take SEO in mind, paying particular attention to page titles. meta tags, alt text, keywords and so on. Site content is also very crucial and you will notice our sites are very wordy. Those who know us will know how much we nag about content. A site with lots of content are better than 'flash' designed websites because it gives something to the search engine to read and will return your site to a visitor if it feels your site is relevant.
